These are some things I’d like to see when IE9 releases:

What other browser’s have

  • Paste and Go in the address bar
  • Spell check in textboxes
  • Close tabs without selecting them first
  • GIF/PNG Favicons, no more ICO

New Stuff

  • Mobile emulator for WP7 (Windows Phone 7) and tablets
  • Speech to text recognition
  • Options to change back from the minimalist UI
  • Better developer toolbar usability, option to make the toolbar window a browser tab for single monitor testers
  • Touch gestures
  • Pen input/highlight
  • Save bookmarks/RSS feeds to Skydrive (FYI: Skydrive is 25 GB free online storage)
  • Meta tag to change the UI colors from blue to your website’s color (branding)
  • CSS 3 Font Save As
  • Features list, shows overview of all features added into each version
  • Option for soft keyboard on textboxes
  • Run as different user in file menu bar
  • Collaboration browsing
  • Add webcam eye tracer to developer toolbar, start capture to show hot spots as overlays once capture is done (good for improving web design usability)
  • Time recorder, records links/onhover and tracks time length between clicks (good for improving speed, report can be referred to for timestamps on possible server lag, improving design usability)
  • Add/switch browsing profiles (like switching windows profiles, good for testing, switching can be a different user with test privileges/browser session, profile can be same user with browser no-adds)
  • New tab dailer links customizable, instead of most popular

Fixes:

  • Fix JQuery iframe won’t load problem
  • Fix CSS box shadow problem

And all of this list…
